ONCLE BERNARD – L’ANTI-LEÇON D’ÉCONOMIE
by Richard Brouillette

Canada, Spain, 2015, 79’

Oncle Bernard, aka Bernard Maris, was killed on January 7th, 2015 in the terrorist attack on the editorial office of “Charlie Hebdo”. What is left of him is his unusual view of economics. In an interview in March 2000 exploring the grey areas of laissez-faire, Oncle Bernard managed to make even the most arid topics intriguing and exposed a worldview that was at once courageous in its originality and close to reality.

8:00 pm - ACID Selection for the 56th Festival dei Popoli

PAULINE S’ARRACHE
Oh la la Pauline!

by Emilie Brisavoine

France, 2015, 88’

Pauline is 15 years old. She has an eventful life, sympathetically filmed by her step- sister, Emilie Brisavoine. Pauline is the only one left to live with her atypical parents, the mother – a former queen of the night – who fell in love with a young transvestite – her father. Living with this family is an explosive experience, because in Pauline’s life nothing is simple: neither her parents’ genders, nor the love they feel for her. Not to mention her childhood memories, both magical and tragic.
