The international jury, made up of five members, awards the Premio dei Popoli Best Film (Euro 10,000) and Premio dei Popoli – Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo Best Director to the most innovative filmmaker (Euro 5,000), as well as the winner of the Gian Paolo Paoli award for best ethno-anthropological film.

The international jury awards the Premio dei Popoli Best Short Film (Euro 2,500) as well. A jury made up of seven members, students from the Università degli Studi di Firenze and the Lorenzo de’ Medici Institute awards the Premio Lorenzo de’ Medici (Euro 1,000) to one among the short films in competition.

The Italian films included in the Official Selection will compete for the Premio Selezione Cinema.doc Firenze, which guarantees to one of the feature films future distribution in movie theatres in Rome.

The audience is given ballots before each screening to vote for the Audience Award.
