DOC AT WORK CAMPUS
Starting from 2017, the Doc at Work Campus takes place in Florence during the Festival dei Popoli. The aim of the project - supported by the "Sensi Contemporanei for the Cinema" Program and by the Fondazione Sistema Toscana - is to enhance the work done in the best Italian film schools, presenting to the audience some of the most significant works among those made during the year, and to foster the entry of young filmmakers into the professional environment.
The students are invited to present their films at the festival, accompanied by 2 representatives of each school: the educational director and a tutor. During the days spent in Florence, students have the opportunity to meet each other and to take part in some training activities that include: masterclasses chaired by internationally renowned filmmakers, panel discussions, seminars useful for setting the filmmaking activity in the most wide production chain (production, pitching, festival participation, distribution, etc.), workshops aimed at developing and enriching professional skills.
Every year, a Visiting School from abroad takes part in the Campus with a selection of its own works and allowing an exchange of experiences and reflections with other European students.
