Born in Turkey, in 1985, resides in Belgrade. He holds BA in film-making and MA in Philosophy & Social Thought. He directed and produced two short films, produced one feature film and worked as a line producer/assistant director for various films. The two short films that he has written and directed, Ayak Altında (Downstairs, 2007) and Nolya (2011) took part in more than 60 international and national festivals such as Premiers Plans, Amiens, Dokufest, Drama, Istanbul, Antalya, Adana and won several awards. They are screened by TV channels such as ARTE/ZDF, Canal+, SBS and RTP. Nolya was awarded as the ‘Best Film’ in the Drama International Short Film Festival – member of European Film Academy, in Greece – and selected among the best 10 Turkish short films of the last decade, by Antalya Cinema Association in 2015. He co-edited Wongar (2018) by Andrijana Stojkovic. He works as an editing consultant for fiction and documentary films. Since 2018 he is the Head of Industry at Beldocs International Documentary Festival, Belgrade and is the artistic consultant of Turkish Film Week in Belgrade.
