But an impending eviction, the difficulty of buying a house with little money available, and an insecure future gradually convince him to abandon all hopes for a different life. Made over four years, based on a storyline cowritten by the filmmaker (Nicolò Ballante) and the lead character (Andrei Grigorita), Tineret manages to offer an authentic description of the conditions of a social class that is too often rejected and outcast. It does so by telling the story of a young Moldavian, the representative of a disillusioned generation, who identifies trap music as the only possibility of fulfilment and social redemption.
