MIDDLE EAST NOW DOC LAB

On the occasion of MIDDLE EAST NOW (Florence, from April 5th to10th 2016) the workshop dedicated to the development of documentary films is back to Florence in collaboration with Greenhouse, one of the most innovative training programs for young filmmakers.

At this edition, the MIDDLE EAST NOW DOC LABscheduled on Saturday, April 9th – will be open to filmmakers and producers working on projects of documentary films, that will have the opportunity to meet Sigal Yehuda, Director of Greenhouse Documentary Program, to get practical advice on the development of their projects, on the presentation of a trailer and possible fund raising channels.

During the MIDDLE EAST NOW DOC LAB, also the participation of the Turkish director Ayse Toprak with her project in development Mr. Gay Syria, to present some footage, tell more about the development of the project, give some suggestions and answer to curiosities and questions.

Greenhouse, partner of the project, has developed and promoted in 10 years of activity 28 excellent documentaries, films of great interest, acclaimed and awarded at an international level; among them the Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award Winning Film Five Broken Cameras, co-directed by the Israeli director Guy Davidi and the Palestinian director Emad Burnat.

MIDDLE EAST NOW DOC LAB is an event organized in collaboration with FST - Fondazione Sistema Toscana and Festival dei Popoli.

The Doc Lab will be held on SATURDAY, April 9, 2016, from 9:30am to 1:00 pm at the Cinema Stensen (Viale Don Minzoni, 25/A Firenze) and will be held in English.
PARTICIPATION IS FREE OF CHARGE.
