What will be left of the genious of modern man after he disappears? Like in a ash forward, Geyrhalter shows us desert, abandoned, almost apocalyptic scenarios of non-places, symbol at once of man’s transience and imperma- nence and of his carelessness, disrespect for nature. Homo sapiens is a hymn to man’s ingenuity, a warning for his conscience, and an invitation to reflect on his role in the world.
