
GREENHOUSE DOC LAB
On the occasion of the eight edition of Middle East Now – the festival on films, documentaries, visual arts on the contemporary Middle East that will be held In Florence, from 4 to 9 April, 2017, will host the fifth edition of the GREENHOUSE DOC LAB, workshop on documentary films organized in collaboration with Greenhouse, an international initiative managed by five partners from Israel, Turkey, Morocco, USA and the Netherlands that produces one of the most innovative training programs for young filmmakers.
At this edition, the DOC LAB – scheduled on Saturday, April 8th – will focus on a case study on a documentary film produced by Greenhouse and a round table discussion with 5 filmmakers with projects in development.
5 projects already in development will be selected, and during the DOC LAB directors / producers will have the opportunity to meet Sigal Yehuda, Director of Greenhouse Documentary Program, Bruni Burres, senior consultant at the Sundance Film Institute, together with documentary directors present at the festival, to get practical advice on the development of their projects, on the presentation of a trailer and possible fund raising channels.
GREENHOUSE DOC LAB is organized by Middle East Now in collaboration with FST – Fondazione Sistema Toscana and Festival dei Popoli.
The DOC LAB will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017, from 9:30am to 1:00 pm at Cinema La Compagnia (Via Cavour, Firenze) and will be held in ENGLISH.

How can I participate?
Send an email to info@middleastnow.it – by March 24, 2017 enclosing the following materials:
• written presentation of a project, in English (max 3 pages) The projects can have the most diverse content, and should not necessarily be linked to the Middle East.
• link to trailer and/or selected scenes.
