Observational Film #6 - Oyster Factory is a feature length documentary that observes and depicts the rich and complex world of small oyster factories including its fishermen and workers. The film closely follows their daily lives, which seem uneventful on the surface, but are facing some gradual, inevitable changes because of the depopulation of their town and globalization.

POSTCARDS FROM THE VERGE
by Sebastian Mez
Germany, 2017, 72’
“In fall of 2014 I traveled to Israel for the first time. I was invited to give a film workshop and my stay was limited to 4 days. In the end, I spent almost 6 weeks in this region. The film is a fragmentary, cinematic review of my travels to the Middle East, somewhere between the lines, borders and demolitions of geographic spaces and the people within it”. (Sebastian Mez)

VISAGES, VILLAGES
Faces, Places
by Agnés Varda, JR
France, 2017, 89’
Agnès Varda moved her first steps as still photographer, but then she made cinema mixed with life, cinema in its purest form; JR is an artist who uses photography to stage the cinema of life. She is small, he is gangly. There is a 55-year age difference between them, but when they meet in 2015 an artistic and intimate partnership unites them regardless of any category or distinction. Therefore, Varda and JR embark on a moving and energetic journey across the intertwines of a France transformed by time.
