The extraordinary life story of dance star Sergei Polunin, who at 19 years old became the youngest primo ballerino at the London Royal Ballet, and is now one of the most brilliant and controversial contemporary dancers. Polunin, dubbed by British media as the ‘James Dean’ or ‘Bad Boy’ of ballet, is portrayed in the film as a romantic, tormented figure who managed to popularize the image of classical ballet thanks to his innate talent but also a powerful video directed by David LaChapelle that went viral, in which he dances on the notes of Hozier’s Take Me to Church.
