An initiative that presents itself as a starting point for an increasingly careful and structured international promotion of documentary cinema. «We believe it is important to underline how this initiative is the result of the collaboration between two historical Italian festivals that have always been committed to the promotion of auteur documentary cinema and their respective Film Commissions. After a careful selection process, which has received a significant number of Tuscan applications, our choice fell on two documentary projects that are innovative in terms of look and cinematographic language. Two stories, one choral and the other individual, two different ways to resist in time and space and to safeguard memory. Stories told by two young authors, Alicia Cano and Tommaso Landucci, who we plan to bring to the Festival dei Popoli with their beautiful works», report the Festival’s managing director Claudia Maci and the Head of the Media Library and Cinema Area of the Fondazione Sistema Toscana Stefania Ippoliti.
