The love between two boys in India survives as a political statement and must clash with differences of caste, social and religious classes. The young protagonists of the film live out the estrangement provoked by their parents as a long wait to get out at night without knowing what will happen.

Payal Kapadia

Payal Kapadia is a Mumbai based film-maker and artist. She studied Film Direction at the Film & Television Institute of India. Her short films “Afternoon Clouds” and “And What Is The Summer Saying” premiered respectively at the Cinéfondation and the Berlinale. Her first feature film “A Night of Knowing Nothing” was selected for the Director's Fortnight, Cannes 2021 where it won the Golden Eye Prize for Best Documentary.
