When Mambo dies, it rests with her children to celebrate the deity to which she was devoted. Cebe decides to return to Haiti from France in the hope of putting an end to the misfortunes that affected the family and organise the death of her mother, a voodoo priestess.

Wilmarc Val

Wilmarc Val is originally from Dessalines, a commune in Haiti. He moved to France at the age of 4 and grew up in Seine-Saint-Denis. Since childhood, he has had a passion for astronomy and cinema, which he cultivated after completing his journalism studies. He directed a short film entitled "Avant que les lumières s'éteignent" (Before the lights go out) and finished his short documentary "Brave", which echoes his family history and Haitian voodoo.
