Pocas Pascoal

Maria Esperança "Pocas" Pascoal moved to Portugal when she was younger due to an outbreak of the civil war in Angola, where she was born. In France, she studied at the Conservatoire Libre du Cinema Francais and graduated in film editing. Her first feature film is "Over here everything is fine" (2011), a story based on her exile from Portugal, which received the Jury Award for Best Narrative at the Los Angeles Film Independent Festival in 2012. Currently Pascoal lives between Paris and Lisbon and her work has been featured in over 20 festivals worldwide since she began her career as a film maker.
