The 67th edition of the Festival dei Popoli will take place from 31 October to 8 November 2026, bringing films, international guests, talks, workshops and activities for audiovisual professionals to Florence, confirming the city’s status as the European capital of documentary cinema.

Supporting the Festival dei Popoli means contributing to dialogue between cultures, fostering reflection on current issues and being part of a project unique in Italy — with over sixty years of history — that believes in cinema as a tool for knowledge and change.

Art Bonus Toscana — Get 60% of your donation back

The Art Bonus Toscana is a tax incentive introduced by the Tuscan Region to encourage cultural patronage. Anyone who supports the Festival dei Popoli Institute through this scheme is awarded the title of Patron of Culture, recognised by the Ministry of Culture, and benefits from a significant tax credit:

• 60% of the donation is recoverable as a tax credit in subsequent tax returns
• For businesses: up to 5‰ of annual turnover
• For individuals and non-commercial organisations: up to 15% of taxable income

The Festival dei Popoli Institute is listed on the Tuscan Region Art Bonus portal with details of its involvement in the Festival dei Popoli – International Documentary Film Festival.

How to make an Art Bonus donation

1. Make a bank transfer for the desired amount to the Istituto Festival dei Popoli (IBAN: IT35H0306909606100000162302, Reference: ‘Art Bonus – Festival dei Popoli - Istituto italiano per il film di documentazione sociale ETS – Tax code or VAT number of the donor’)
2. Keep the receipt (required for the tax credit)

Free Donations

You can support the Festival through a tax-deductible donation, in accordance with Presidential Decree 917/1986 (TUIR) and subsequent amendments:

• Individuals: a tax deduction of 19% of the donation, calculated on a maximum of 2% of total declared income
• Legal entities: a deduction of up to 2% of declared business income
