Another Story is a new initiative - supported by the Creative Europe - MEDIA Programme - dedicated to rethinking documentary film history by foregrounding works by women directors that have been overlooked by dominant narratives of cinema. 

Another Story is a pan-European initiative inviting audiences to discover and learn from women documentary filmmakers of the 20th and 21st centuries. The project aims to bring new attention to remarkable films overlooked by cinema history, focusing on documentaries by women directors. Their work uncovers hidden narratives and opens doors to unfamiliar perspectives, shaping our shared cultural memory.

The network of four festivals and nine associated partners will engage audiences through carefully curated selections, dynamic outreach efforts, and interactive learning  formats, critic’s labs, and public discussion panels.
