66 FDP - Spotlight on France: Call for Emerging Producers

For the 66th edition of the Festival dei Popoli, Unifrance, the Institut français Italia, and the French Embassy in Italy will support a delegation of four French producers, who will be invited to Florence to present their feature-length projects.

This initiative is part of the extensive Franco-Italian exchange program jointly undertaken by Unifrance and the Institut français Italia throughout the year and is in line with the objectives of Unifrance, which supports young professionals in the transition from short films to feature films.

From November 6th to 9th, in conjunction with Doc at Work — the Festival dei Popoli's Industry program — there will be project pitching sessions, roundtables on co-financing opportunities between France and Italy, one-on-one meetings and networking opportunities, including a welcome cocktail organized with the support of the Consulate General of France in Florence.

Applications and eligibility criteria:
· Be a current Unifrance member;
· Have already produced at least two short films;
· Have a first feature-length project in development with a connection to Italy.

How to Participate
The application form — to be written in English and containing: a company presentation and lineup, a profile of the applicant, a presentation of the feature-length project and a cover letter — must be sent to Tiziana.degidio@unifrance.org by the call deadline.

Deadline: September 17, 2025.

Selection
Submitted projects will be reviewed and selected by the Festival dei Popoli team.
Accommodation in Florence and participation in the program are fully covered by the call. Travel expenses are the responsibility of the applicants.
