IL CASTELLO INDISTRUTTIBILE
France, Italy | 2025 | 71 min | col. | o.v. Italian
Eleven-year-olds Angelo, Mery, and Rosy live in Danisinni, a neighbourhood on the outskirts of Palermo. Driven by a desire for adventure, they decide to explore the ruins of an old kindergarten located in the heart of the district. Amid the rubble they find a safe spot out of sight. They furnish a room of their own, a secret nook where they can unleash their imagination without fear of judgment. Yet, outside pressures threaten this little and precious island, which is not so much delimited by the room’s wall as by their age – a magnificent and fragile one. (S.S.)
