Festival dei Popoli Summertime

We are pleased to announce the summer calendar of the Festival dei Popoli, which, thanks to a network of established collaborations in the area, will be held in various summer locations with a varied and comprehensive program of documentary films.

An investigation of contemporary forms of collective rituality. The film exceeds the binary logic of the relationship between digital and reality, exploring the area where solitudes meet.

Best Italian Documentary Award at the 65th Festival dei Popoli.

One More Jump, by Manu Gerosa (Italy/Switzerland/Palestine, 2019, 83’)  original version with Italian subtitles
The discipline of parkour requires overcoming every obstacle with speed and elegance. Jehad and Abdallah are both very talented, but fate has divided them and they are separated by the Mediterranean. Jehad has remained in his native Gaza, while Abdallah trains in Florence. Despite living in such different contexts, both young men experience firsthand the different meanings of the word “resistance.” The dreams and hopes of youth are put to the test by the constraints of a world with limited freedom.
