In her cozy home in the middle of the forest, an elderly forest ranger learns with horror that her animal friends are threatened by unscrupulous hunters. He then calls in the Rescue Squad, starting an unlikely defense army that will confound and baffle the heartless hunters. In this wild comedy, nature and the wisdom of the elderly warden triumph, with no casualties among the forest dwellers. (c.d.)

Jānis Cimmermanis
Janis Cimmermanis is a Latvian director and animator. He graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography in 1980 and began working as a director for puppet plays at the Latvian Puppet Theater. In 1983, he joined Latvia Film Studio as a puppet film animator and director.
