With the outbreak of Covid-19, schools were closed, and the future of 9-year-old Promise and Ian became uncertain. The desire to leave Nairobi and travel to distant places grows every day on earth. In their conversations and daydreaming, they climb on board an aircraft and fly away, far from all the hardship, to the discovery of a world beyond their neighbourhood - a world to explore that is filled with promises. United by friendship and a passion for jumps and acrobatics, the two friends hope to join the acrobatic group founded by Steve, which performs around Europe to raise funds for the support of children living in the slums of Nairobi. Every afternoon, they put all their energy into training, cultivating the hope of being selected by Steve's circus and thus finally embarking on the journey of their dreams. (s.b.)
