After her beautiful Normal, Adele Tulli goes back on the forms of contemporary collective rituality with a film that exceeds the binary logic of the relationship between digital and reality. Armed with curiosity and without prejudice, the filmmaker explores the paradoxical, contradictory shadow line where body and machine meet, areas in which new exciting, at times dangerous relationships are experienced. In the fully materialized reality of the digital world there are many forms of intimacy, and connection is desire and vibration. A queer couple desires an encounter IRL, as for them physical contact is just a further element in a fulfilled relationship. Vibration occurs between a camgirl and her audience, with whom sharing and arousal are intertwined in a voyeuristic flux which seems to weaken, for just a few moments, the respective solitude. In all this, the body, doubled, titillated, made subject or object of consumption, remains central, impossible to overcome - the horizon of desire in the relationship between man and machine. (l.f.)
