Call Young Jury Day - 66th Festival dei Popoli
Are you between 12 and 18 years old and want to be a part of a documentary film jury?
Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze and Festival dei Popoli invite you to join the Young Jury Day!
The event will take place on Sunday, November 9th, 2025 from 9:15 a.m. to 4 p.m.
at Cinema Astra. Piazza Cesare Beccaria 9, Florence

On Sunday, November 9th, young people will take centre stage at Cinema Astra: an audience of 12 to 18 year olds will become jurors for a day, awarding the FCRF prize to the best documentary in the Popoli for Kids and Teens section.
During the day, the boys and girls will watch the four selected films, discuss the documentaries together, have the opportunity to express their views and discuss them with the other jurors and moderators, share meals (provided by the Festival), and finally vote using a special ballot system.
The results of the vote will be announced on our social media channels on the evening of Sunday, November 9.

DISCUSSION AND DEBATE
After each documentary, time will be set aside for debate, moderated by the organisers. During the debate, the jurors will interact dynamically and critically, expressing their points of view and discussing opinions and impressions from a technical and content-related perspective. There will be space to ask good questions, to listen to the other jurors and to begin a reasoned reflection on documentary cinema. An exercise in awareness, responsibility, and discussion, before expressing a final evaluation at the end of the day.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
- Participation in the jury is open to everyone, and jurors will be selected based on age and with parental consent. The number of participants is limited, and reservations will be made in chronological order.
- Participation is free of charge, and registration can be completed by filling out an online questionnaire at the following link.
- Reservations can be made until November 5, 2025, by filling out the online form. (The questionnaire will allow participants to indicate any food allergies, which will be taken into account in the menu for the day).
- Each juror will be provided with individual material for the day: badge, pen and voting card
- Each minor participant must send the authorization signed by their parents (downloadable PDF) to the email address edu@festivaldeipopoli.org or via WhatsApp to the number that will be provided once registration has been confirmed.
