Popoli for Kids and Teens

Fondazione CR Firenze and Festival dei Popoli invite you to Popoli for Kids and Teens!

The 66th edition of Festival dei Popoli - International Documentary Film Festival, , returns to Florence from the 1st to the 9th of November at PARC - Performing Arts Research Centre, and Cinema Astra with a program designed for young children, kids, families and schools.

The program consists of 15 documentaries and short animations that depict stories of young people from all around the world facing themes such as the environment, inclusion, rights, equality and the future. Alongside the films, there will be a number of creative and educational workshops with experts, designed to bring even more fun and participation into the cinematic experience.

The cinematographic proposal is integrated with workshops for different age groups, with screenings reserved for schools, events for all the family and a Young Jury Day.

Together with the FIPADOC festival (France), The Krakow Film Festival (Poland), Docudays UC (Ukraine) and Porto Post Doc (Portugal), Festival dei Popoli is a part of the network Docs4Teens - Building Bridges, with its program “Popoli for Kids and Teens”. Together these share the objective of promoting the documentary genre amongst young people, and the circulation of films dedicated to young audiences throughout Europe.

Popoli for Kids and Teens is organised by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze and Festival dei Popoli, with contributions from Publiacqua in collaboration with PARC (Performing Arts Research Centre), Fabbrica Europa, Fondazione Stensen, Lanterne Magiche, Aleph, Amnesty International, Museo Galileo, Unicoop Florence, Drum Circle Firenze and Mukki.

This is a unique occasion to create, excite and glimpse into the future together.
