Special Event Laurent Garnier: Off the Record & live set with
DE RIO

On Friday 26 November at the Cinema La Compagnia the evening of the 62nd Festival dei Popoli is dedicated to techno music, with a screening of the film Laurent Garnier: Off the Record and live set by the collective DE RIO Soundsystem.

At 9.00 pm at the La Compagnia cinema, the documentary Laurent Garnier: Off the Record will be screened, composed of rare archive images and films from Laurent Garnier's recent world tour in which the intimate and exciting portrait of a pioneer who followed his passion against all expectations, helping to bring about a musical, social and political revolution thanks to techno music.

DE RIO

Always following at the Cinema La Compagnia, the DE RIO Soundsystem collective (Abo, Plastique01 & TOMO) will perform a live techno hardware set that will range from classic detroit techno sounds to more contemporary experiments and will be accompanied by the visuals of the artist MORGANA.

DE RIO is a project that was born in 2019 from the idea of ​​two Florentine boys, Tommaso Andorlini and Tommaso Ciaranfi, who were later joined by Daniele Carcassi, Giulio Da Rin and Ima de Franceschi.

The intent of the collective is to create a new cultural proposal for Florence, carrying out a musical research that explores the facets of the most contemporary electronic music (from Club-Culture to the most avant-garde experimentation), creating new moments of aggregation in spaces unconventional.

Since 2021 the collective has also become an independent record label, with the first release DE RIO 001 (DR001), distributed by Lobster Distribution curated by DJ and producer Jimmy Asquith.
